What is the name of your business, what do you do in business and how long have you been in business?
I am the Founder and CEO of Pink Productions and I am also the business advisor for startup companies. Our mission within Pink Productions is to build a diverse community of women who support, uplift, and empower one another through providing opportunities. Everything we do is by women for women. The two major components of Pink Productions are our interviews and relationship building. Through business advising, I provide and perform appropriate assessments, analysis, enforcement, and preparation of the business projects of the organization. I give the best solutions to the entrepreneurs, that are in the interest of the organization. I contribute to strengthening my clients capacity to solve their own problems.
What is your career or educational background that led you into this business?
What makes my story unique is that prior to starting Pink Productions I wasn’t passionate about women empowerment. Prior to business advising startup companies, I was only providing valuable information to friends who owned companies. Both paths were definitely just destined for me. Each day I am growing and learning as a leader through experience and actual hands on teaching.
Who influenced you to start your business and how did they influence you?
My friends actually influenced me to start Pink Productions. I was surrounded by so many people who were miserable in their professional lives because they were doing what they had to do in order to make ends meet. No one was happy because they weren’t doing what they loved. I was actually at a job I hated and trying to pursue poetry at the time. I started Pink Productions for women like my friends and myself. I started Pink Prods for us. I started business advising because I have a passion for helping entrepreneurs. I am an entrepreneur and it is hard. Not everyone knows how to organize, write business plans, study the right things, write sponsorship letters, create a website, logos, etc. I can do all of those things and if I can help others, then I feel like my mission is being completed.
How do you practice work, life, balance?
I am actually still trying to perfect this concept. I work from home, which means sometimes I never stop working. Other days I cannot get out of the bed. What I am practicing now is creating weekly schedules. Schedules that include block scheduling and even hourly breakdowns. I try to even add time to walk, pray, read, etc.

Through business advising I have seen clients actually set clear goals and apply my teaching– I have seen them meet their goals and exceed their own vision!
How does your business offer that signature touch in comparison to your competitors?
Pink Productions is unique because our interviews are performed by actual people. We sometimes even call our features. We are extremely personable. My business advising is definitely different because I can do it all! I am a one-stop shop. From writing a business plan to creating a logo. I am versatile.
What has been your biggest highlight of being in business so far?
The biggest highlight of it all is being able to make connections and to see individuals grow as leaders and people.
