I saw a NEED for functional and motivational stationery items to help keep girl bosses organized. So I CREATED a line of products that served its purpose.

How did you get started in your business?

In addition to being a boutique stationery owner, I am a graphic and website designer at Red Velvet Ink. Through helping women entrepreneurs build their brand through great typography, color and design I saw a need for functional and motivational stationery items to help keep girl bosses organized. So I created a line of products that served its purpose as being motivational and functional with a little sass!

What are the plans that you had for your business when you first started?

When I first started, I had plans to only sell as part of my graphic design business Red Velvet Ink but after a couple of months, the business quickly grew and now stands as its own business and brand.

Hmmm let’s see, I absolutely love fashion and beauty products. I actually used to be a fashion and beauty blogger back in the day as well as a stylist for The Limited. Fun times!!

Can you give us some deets’ on some of your upcoming business plans?

I don’t want to give too much details but the Spring 2017 collection of Red Velvet Paperie will release March 1st and will entail a lot more sassiness as well as some new things you can use in the office!

Are there any other business gems that you would like to share about your business experiences, plans, or lessons?

Just don’t give up on your dreams. Some things you put in rotation may be an epic fail but that doesn’t mean you should get discouraged and quit altogether. That’s how you learn from your mistakes.
